I did this for a Beatles sketchbook assignment. We had to do an illustration inspired by something from Abbey Road. After a bit of research, I chose to illustrate the line "she said she'd always been a dancer" from the song She Came in Through the Bathroom Window. This line had a huge impact one me when I first read it. It immediately called to mind ballet, a dance form with very pristine and innocent connotations. The next line of the song, however, is "she works at 15 clubs a day" which suddenly calls to mind an entirely different type of dancing. I thought the contrast was very interesting and this piece is my interpretation of the relationships between the two.
